Fort Edam is part of the Defence Line around Amsterdam. It was built between 1880 and 1920. From there you have spectacular views of the wetlands around Edam and the former Zuiderzee. Fort Edam is a listed UNESCO World Heritage site. The fort is open to the public on Wednesday 10:30 AM to 15:00 PM.
